Jira Consultant/Administrator

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Jira Cloud administration, including user management, workflow configuration, and system integration. Duties
  • Administration of Jira Cloud:
    Manage the configuration and maintenance of Jira Cloud, including project settings, workflows, permissions, and global settings.

  • User and Permission Management:
    Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring proper access control and adherence to company policies.

  • Jira Query Language (JQL) Management:
    Create and optimize complex JQL queries for data analysis and reporting.

  • Automation and Scripting:
    Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows using tools like ScriptRunner and Automation for Jira. Develop custom scripts to streamline processes.

  • Integrations:
    Integrate Jira Cloud with other tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo to improve workflow efficiency.

  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    Diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and system configuration.

  • API Management:
    Work with Jira Cloud’s REST API to develop, test, and maintain integrations with other business-critical systems.

  • Upgrades and Migrations:
    Plan and execute updates to Jira Cloud, test new releases, and perform data migrations between Jira instances or from other platforms.

Required skills
  • Experience with Jira Cloud:

    Minimum 2 years of experience in Jira Cloud administration and support. Strong knowledge of project configuration, user management, workflows, and global settings.
  • Jira Query Language (JQL):

    Proven experience with advanced JQL query creation for reporting and analysis.Ability to optimize JQL queries for improved performance.
  • Integrations and Automation:

    Experience integrating Jira Cloud with tools like GIT and Azure DevOps.

       Proficiency in creating automation using tools like ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, and custom scripts.

  • Atlassian Tools:

    Hands-on experience with other Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo. Ability to configure and manage integrations between these tools and Jira Cloud.
  • Operating Systems and Networking:

    Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Understanding of basic networking concepts and the ability to troubleshoot issues affecting Jira Cloud.
  • API and Integration Skills:

    Experience with Jira Cloud’s REST API, including developing and maintaining integrations.Proficiency in scripting for task automation and system integration.
  • Problem Solving:

    Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Jira Cloud, including performance bottle. Experience in analyzing system logs to identify and resolve underlying issues.
  • Upgrades and Data Migrations:

    Experience with Jira Cloud upgrades, including planning, testing, and deployment of new versions. Ability to manage data migrations between different Jira instances and from external systems.
